When fighting big fish these Deep Blue Boat Reels use a twin-drag system with advanced HT100 Carbon Fibre & Titanium drag discs to apply pressure equally to both sides of the spool providing a perfectly even and best possible balanced drag. This also provides ouble the drag pressure giving a class leading maximum 30Kg of drag.
The increased drag to surface area also results in near zero start-up inertia and with their silky-smooth drag performance helps avoid frustrating break-offs possible from smash takes and typically bigger fish. Operated using the single lever drag control provides superb and smooth control across the Dual-drag system from zero to maximum.
9+2 oversize Japanese stainless steel shielded bearings provide smoother running and all internal components are either Stainless Steel or aluminium for total corrosion resistance.
The frame and spool are CNC machined from solid bar-stock aerospace grade AL6061-T6 aluminium for strength & light weight with a hard anodised finish to provide total saltwater corrosion & chip resistance.
The main and pinion gears are also stainless steel & provide high gear ratios for faster retrieve. A double anodised and perforated free-spool system allows faster line-out whilst a one-way stainless steel roller bearing provides thre trustworthy anti-reverse \"Power-Lock\" system. Combining all these features provides care-free reliability throughout. Fitted with a comfortable ergonomic foam handle providing excellent grip all year round.
Each reel comes complete with a Rod Clamp plus a Neoprene reel case.
