The Victron Orion voltage dropper is designed to convert an input voltage of 24V DC (in fact anywhere between 15V and 40V DC) into a 12V DC output for use on most electrical items on board boats, motorhomes and other automotive applications. The casing is made of cast aluminium and the electronics are moulded in resin. All this gives the Victron Orion an IP67 rating, protecting it from any water, oil or dirt that could make contact with it. There is also added protection against overheating, short circuits and reverse polarity connection.

This voltage converter includes 1.8 metre long cables, which should eliminate the need to add cable interconnections in most cases. This adds to the reliability of the product and decreases cost and installation time.
