The Blue Smart charger range from Victron features built in Bluetooth, meaning they can be controlled and monitored remotely from smartphones, tablets and laptops. They are suitable for use in boats, cars, motorbikes, motorhomes and more.
The BPC121544022 Victron Blue Smart charger features a six-step adaptive charging algorithm to maintain health, life and performance of batteries. It will also attempt to recharge a 'dead' battery by feeding it a low current, before raising the current when there is sufficient voltage across the battery terminals. The charger will also charge Li-ion batteries using a different setting.
This charger protects against overheating, reverse polarity, short circuits and is also IP22 rated for water and particle ingress. If the charger gets hot, the output current will adjust accordingly to prevent damage or failure. It also offers Night and Low modes to reduce output current and make the charger totally silent. Low mode can be ended manually whereas Night mode automatically ends after 8 hours.
