The battery charger/maintainer enables an extra battery bank to be kept 'topped up' from the main battery bank which has the charging device(s) connected to it (e.g. alternator, battery charger, solar cell/wind turbine etc.) The battery charger/maintainer works by detecting when the main battery bank reaches 13.3V and allows the excess power to be transformed to the extra battery bank with only a minor voltage drop of 0.2V. This allows the extra battery bank to be 'maintained' by charging it with several amps. This device is not a high charging device, it's a maintenance device.
