A one-component slightly thixotropic adhesive and sealant, Sikaflex®-298 is formulated for use on substrates including marine GRP, steel, stainless steel, plywood and aluminium sealed with an anti-corrosion coating (epoxy or polyurethane-acrylic based).
Sikaflex®-298 cures on exposure to atmospheric humidity and is particularly suited to bonding deck covering materials made from synthetic resins (except polyethylene and polypropylene). It is also ideal for bedding-in and sealing teak plank decking laid on top of the subdeck surface.
This product is manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 / 14001 quality assurance system as well as with the Responsible Care Program and meets the regulations set out by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
