The Rule Mate RM2000 2000 series automatic submersible bilge pump eliminates the need for a separate float switch to activate the pump. Once power is supplied to the bilge pump, starting and stopping is completely automatic.
The new model of Rule Mate bilge pumps feature a wire coil with a magnet cased in a box as opposed to a mercury float, allowing for space saving to be made. The electromagnetic field is disrupted by water resistance around the box and the pump is activated. The pump also includes a pump check feature where you can test your pumps performance with a wet finger!
The Rule automatic submersible bilge pump is a light weight, compact pump with a tough plastic body and integral strainer. The automatic bilge pump features two leads, an automatic (brown) and a manual override (brown with a white stripe). The quick release strainer allows for rapid cleaning of the submersible bilge pump internal components.
The Rule submersible bilge pump comes complete with a straight hose tail barb for 28mm (1-1/8") ID hose. The built-in automatic bilge pump sensor detects the presence of pure engine oil only and will not activate the pump which minimises the discharge of hazardous materials into the surrounding waterway.
The Rule 2000 series of small submersible bilge pumps are recommended for discharge heads up to a maximum of 3.6 metres. The submersible bilge pump meets ISO8846 marine (ignition) and ISO8849 marine (bilge pump) standards.

Rule Mate pumps feature a backup device that knows if the electronic bilge switch becomes covered by oil, grease and debris, by checking for water resistance against the impeller. If no water is present the pump will revert to an auto-timed mode, where the pump cycles every 2.5 minutes to check for water, until the sensor has been cleaned. Once the switch is cleaned the pump will revert back to the level sensing mode.
