R&D Drive Plate For PRM 500 750 (17 Teeth Spline / 362mm Diameter)

49AD2 R & D Marine Damper Drive Plate.

Fitted between the engine and the PRM gearbox input shaft, a damper drive plate is designed to transmit the engine power to the gearbox, whilst reducing transmitted gear noise and providing a cushioned drive when selecting gear. All R and D Damper Drive plates include a 'failsafe' design.

Also called the Driven Plate, Damper Plate or Clutch Plate, this Damper Drive Plate is from the R and D range and a popular fitment on marine engines such as those based on Ford and Perkins engines.

The technical details:
- Spline: 17 teeth 16/32 DP (28.84mm diameter) for PRM 301, PRM 302, PRM401, PRM402, PRM500 and PRM750 marine gearboxes.
- Diameter of drive plate back plate which bolts to the engine flywheel: 362mm (14.25")
- Back plate fixing holes: Multi hole back plate offering 6 x 8.1mm on 200mm PCD, 6 x 8.1mm on 210mm PCD, 6 x 8.1mm on 263mm PCD, 6 x 8.1mm on 269.9mm PCD, 6 x 8.1mm on 276.3mm PCD, 6 x 8.1mm on 289mm PCD, 6 x 8.1mm on 295.3mm PCD, 6 x 8.8mm on 304.8mm PCD, 6 x 8.1mm on 314.4mm PCD, 6 x 9.5mm on 320.7mm PCD and 12 x 9.5mm on 343mm PCD (Ford)
- Maximum thickness of drive plate: 36mm (1.41")

Fitted with the softer type AD high deflection element for 670Nm 500 ft lb torque, providing a maximum deflection up to 30 degrees. This type of plate is especially suited to workboats with slow speed applications & pleasure boats. Note that this type of damper drive plate can only be fitted to rotate in the standard direction of rotation (anti-clockwise when looking at the flywheel) with the element facing the gearbox. The 49AD2 damper plates are also failsafe.
