14E1 Boat Engine Damper Drive Plate from R&D Marine

Fitted between the marine engine and the gearbox input shaft, a damper drive plate is designed to transmit the engine power to the gearbox, whilst reducing transmitted gear noise and providing a cushioned drive when selecting gear. All R and D Damper Drive plates include a 'failsafe' design.

Also called the Driven Plate, Damper Plate or Clutch Plate, the 14E1 Damper Drive Plate is from the R and D Loop element range. Common applications for the 14E1 drive plate include BMC, Ford and Perkins engines.

R&D 14E1 damper technical details:
- Spline: 10 teeth SAE 1" x 10T (25.4mm diameter) for PRM 101, PRM 160 and PRM 260 gearboxes.
- Diameter of drive plate back plate which bolts to the engine flywheel: 298.5mm (11.75")
- Back plate fixing holes: Multi-punched back plate offering 6 x 8.1mm on 200mm PCD, 6 x 8.1mm on 250mm PCD, 6 x 8.1mm on 269.9mm PCD and 6 x 8.1mm on 273mm PCD.
- Drive plate maximum thickness: 35mm (1.38")

Fitted with a type E loop element for 245Nm 180 ft lb torque this element will suit the mid range engines up to the rated power. The 14E1 drive plate can be mounted either round on the flywheel and rotated in either direction. This drive plate element will provide linear stiffness up to 3 degrees of deflection and is failsafe.
