The MasterShunt is an integrated battery monitor which can share information about the battery bank with other devices, such as chargers or inverters, in a MasterBus, CZone or NMEA 2000 systems. It can give detail on voltage, current, state of charge and time remaining of the battery (calculated accurately by using the current flow and the remaining capacity). Because you can then programme events to trigger on different events, such as turning on a generator when the battery capacity is low, it allows the whole system to be automated and run seamlessly.
The MasterShunt 500 has been improved upon to give the highest degree of accuracy in its readings and calculations. It retains historical data and doesn't lose its memory when the system is disconnected. It is straight forward to install and connect, and features a robust housing with isolated DC connectors for reliability. MasterShunts can also be installed in a parallel setup if higher currents are used.
