The unit works by measuring water pressure above the sensor. The result is displayed on a gauge because we believe this is the most accurate way of presenting the information and makes it easy to predict the "number of days to empty". The gauge can be positioned anywhere in the boat as required.
The in-line sensor is used where there is no access to the tank or the construction of the tank is unsuitable. It is mounted between the tank and water pump using the 15mm ‘T' fitting in the water pick up pipe between the tank and the pump. This is only suitable where the pipe can be run at approximately the same level as the bottom of the tank, we would suggest within 7.5 cm. The unit should be mounted within one metre of the tank, but if this is not possible please advise us when ordering.
